How a Remote Support Session Works

The support technician provides a link to a small executable file that the remote user downloads from getremoteassist.com. Following the quick download, the remote user enters a unique security code provided by the technician to allow instant remote control access to their computer. 

Once access has been granted, the technician can control the user’s computer just as easily as if he or she were sitting in front of the remote machine. The user is able to watch what the technician does as the problem is fixed right before their eyes.

Once the user’s issues have been resolved, user and technician can exit the session, leaving no trace of the customer support session on the technician’s computer. Laplink RemoteAssist ensures the user’s privacy and security.
